How to Configure Your Firewall
If you keep getting kicked off a table right after sitting down, odds are the problem is your firewall. A firewall is a piece of software that tries to protect your computer from hackers and unsafe programs. All inPlay is a small little company, so most firewalls don't know that our games are safe. If you have a firewall, you will need to configure it so it knows All inPlay is OK.
For your convenience, we've gathered the instructions from some of the most common firewall companies. We hope this helps! If not, let us know by emailing support@allinplay.com.
Jump to the instructions for Norton, McAfee, or WindowsXP.
If you have Norton Internet Security
- Open Norton Internet Security by clicking the icon or by going to Start-->All Programs-->Norton Internet Security and opening the program.
- When the Internet Security screen appears, click where it says Personal Firewall. It should show a brief description to the right. Below that, click on the Configure button.
- The configure screen will appear, and at the top of the page click on the second tab titled Programs.
- At the bottom of that screen is a list of programs that have attempted to access the Internet while the firewall has been running. Scroll down until you find the All inPlay Games (you may need to do this process again or for our other games if they are not on the list).
- If it says Block All next to it, click on the Block All and select Permit All. If the firewall was blocking All inPlay access to the network you should now be able to play the game.
- Close Norton.
- You should be all set!
